New Year - Changes for you ?

Do you have new habits to form or bad habits to let go of?

Don’t get hung up on the January 1 New Year’s resolution.  You can commit to a change or tweak a habit anytime.

Focus on the aspirational self you have of yourself. What is that vision? Why is it important to you ? Can  you visualize it ?  Do you feel it?

·         What habits do you have that you do in autopilot ?

·         What habits have you created ?

·         What habits need an upgrade ?

·         What bad habits do you need to break ?

We know 21 days to form or break a habit. I would add 7 days to sustain it.  Do you have an action plan to make it happen? Who will you surround yourself with ? How will you be held accountable?  Are you letting go of anything or embracing something?

When we have a change  or a shift in our lives it is usually a good catalyst such as a move into a new space, start a new job, change cities, loose a job, end a relationship, start a new relationship – the list goes on.

Or another trigger for people is time  - the morning, Monday, new season or New year.

Journal it  - use a day timer or calendar -  to strengthen your habits, create new habits or break bad habits.  Write down everyday your successes and your failures. What did you feel ? Was there a trigger? Did you repeat your mantra ? Do you need to tweak? Are you trying to do too much ?  Do you have inspiration? What tools if any do you require?

Tomorrow is new day – Do not give up!  Reboot and start again.

Focus on the aspirational self you have of yourself. Your bigger vision – what is it? Why do you want it? What will it do for you?

1) Organize, 2) Schedule, 3) Make it convenient,4) Be accountable and 5) Create a mantra.  These are 5 key steps that can help you keep on track and not get derailed.

If you do get derailed  - so what ? dust off and get back to it. Revisit your why? Why are you doing this ? Why is it important ?

Small choices and decisions  - make big impact. Don’t over think it. Do the best you can when presented with a choice. These small wins will start to add up.

You are worth it  - take the time and  make the commitment . You have got this!!!

Remember the #1 relationship that is most important is the relationship to yourself.
