Being A Lifelong Learner
Recently I saw a tweet where a man identified all his life lessons equal to his age. I thought this was an incredible idea - so decided to identify and document the 55 life lessons I have learned before my 56th Bday.
Here is the list I came up with. I challenge you to reflect on all your own life lessons – write out your own list.
1. Be accountable to yourself and others
2. Always select the aisle seat
3. Don’t wait for someone else
4. Laugh everyday
5. Think about Tattoo art before getting inked
6. Character matters
7. Loud Music is always a good idea
8. You can never have too many tote bags
9. Shoes are important
10. WTF – is an expression applicable to almost everything
11. Invest in a good mattress
12. Naps are good
13. Drink lots of water
14. Coffee tastes better with cream
15. A couch needs throw pillows
16. Know when to cut your losses
17. Birthdays should be celebrated
18. Aging is a privilege
19. Be Kind
20. Curiosity didn’t kill the cat
21. Always be yourself
22. Dr Seuss has words for any life situation
23. Trust the process
24. Patience is not a virtue
25. Small choices matter
26. Always moisturize
27. Travel is important
28. Be Direct
29. Say what you mean and mean what you say
30. Speak to strangers
