Being on a Sabbatical

The journey of life has many twists and turns - the key to a life well led from my perspective is to be open to being able to pivot.

Recently, an opportunity was presented for me to take a mini-sabbatical through travel. Travel that I did not expect nor could have anticipated. Recognizing an opportunity – a zig or a zag requires an open mind. My first response was a closed, limiting belief as I said no - no way I could make it work.

Within a couple hours, I was able to shift my thinking and started to think what if this was possible? Got to work to make it work. With support from family, friends and colleagues made it happen.

Sometimes what seems impossible becomes possible. My learning - keep an open mind and take action so you can realize the desired outcome.

After a couple years of limited travel - I am extremely excited to take a journey. Travel is good for the soul - as it recharges you, allows you to see different things and provide new perspectives.

I do not know what to expect or what adventures are ahead of me, but I expect to be enriched, altered, and full of discovery. Take a little time outside of your day-to-day routine to explore.

I will resume my blogs in September – wishing you a summer full of laughter, adventure, fun, and lots of time to just be.
