Being Strong

March is just beginning - spring is so close. For me, Spring is always a time of reflection, new beginnings and excitement.

Reflection

International Women’s Day on March 8 and every year means something different to me. This year it got me reflecting on some of my favorite female artists. The songs added to this blog are a highlight of some of the women (could have added 100s more lol) who inspire me with their unique voices in music. We each have our own uniqueness whatever gender - finding the confidence and conviction to stay true to your voice and how you show up. A single voice matters, it is what builds a movement and can change the world. Huge impact and difference start with one voice. What small action have you taken or can take? Can be a small revolutionary act, a challenge of the status quo or just as simple as staying true to your values and beliefs.

New Beginning

Last year I got a small greenhouse for my deck. Last week I planted some herb seeds to start my seedlings for the garden later this spring. Within a week they have started to sprout. These small sprouts will in a couple months be fueling me with nutrients and adding flavor to my food. As individuals we grow, evolve and change with every season. There are times when we do not see it, or even want it but nonetheless, it occurs. Change happens one conversation, event, or action at a time – before you know it there has been a transformational shift. An ending is a beginning – which is the way I always like to look at it. What are you starting this spring? How are you shifting? Do you need to let go of anything to embrace what is upcoming?

Excitement

For the past couple of years, I have done quite a bit of travelling and decided in 2024 that I was going to stay closer to home. Solid decision - for a variety of reasons however I was feeling a little disappointed and dissatisfied with my decision as I had some spring fever (not some - a lot). My friend found the most amazing music festival nearby but far enough it feels like a getaway. Within 3 days - tickets bought, road trip planned, hotels booked and some extra excursions. The level of excitement I feel is incredible (plus 2 of the musicians want to see live on my 24 for 24 lists are performing). Sometimes we just need a little boost - How do you get excitement? Would you like to have something to look forward to? What are doing to find the joys and excitement in life for yourself?

Bring on Spring 2024 - much gratitude to be where I am as this new season is so near. Hope this spring you will reflect, find your new beginning and of course a little (or BIG) something that excites you.
