Being Organized

We all possess superpowers – some get used often, and others are saved and used sparingly when required. Often we look at others’ superpowers with envy and think “I wish I had that power, talent or ability.” What we find though is often others seek our powers and look at them with awe.

We must embrace what makes us powerful and strong. Superpowers to me are what makes you – you. Your unique qualities are what those around you can count on you for. They are the skills that you can bring out naturally and on-demand.

Some of my superpowers:

  • Being organized. As an action-oriented gal, I get it in my calendar, make the call, action the item, or put it away where it belongs.

  • Remembering the names of authors and books. Writers and authors are such a talent in our world so I feel they need to be remembered for who they are and the work they have created.

  • Remembering the names of artists and songs. As a lover of all types of music (my aunt recently said to me – your taste is very eclectic), I retain the artist, song, and album. This comes in very handy during music trivia bingo nights 😉 – everyone wants me on their team.

  • Being able to parallel park in any spot (well, assuming my car length can be accommodated). From my years of city living, if you want to be able to park, you need to be able to parallel park on the left or right side and also in the tightest of spots.

How or why? Who knows why we develop the way we do. I say embrace your inner superhero! Demonstrate your talents, appreciate others’ gifts, and overall celebrate all the things that make each of us unique and special!
